SIZES OF PANELS
These tables give an idea of the size of the finished pictures.
They can be made in any yarn. The finished size will depend on the yarn you choose and how tightly you knit. The tension (gauge) is approximate to the tension you would get when working in garter stitch.
Most of our pictures are made in DK yarns. A normal garter stitch tension would be about 20 stitches to 4” (10 cm). Illusion pictures are best knitted tighter than you would normally knit so you would get more stitches in a 4” sample. (Illusion blankets and cushions should be knitted so that they are still soft enough to be comfortable.)
Some pictures are designed to be seen from the bottom. In this case the width is the number of stitches; others are designed to be seen from the side so the width is the number of ridges of knitting.
