GALLERY OF COMPLETED WORKS
The gallery is split into several categories (which sometimes overlap).
Illusion Art
These knitted panels are primarily intended to be used as pictures, hanging on the wall. View them from immediately in front and you will see nothing but stripes; view them from an angle and the picture will be revealed. They could also be incorporated into items such as scarves, cushions and afghans.
If you want to knit your own, patterns are available for all illusions. We have devised our own method of charting. Even the most complex are easier to knit than you might imagine. Most patterns contain three versions of the chart -
There are instructions for how to knit the picture or item shown but no information about how to use them as part of something else.
There are various ways to hang a panel. You could add a border all round to look like a frame or, more simply, attach Velcro (hook side) to a narrow strip of wood and press the knitting gently onto it. We mount most of our pictures on thin board by working a narrow facing that folds to the back and is taped in place, or held by Velcro.
