THE WORLD OF
FLOWER EMBLEMS FOR THE WOOLSACK PROJECT
The Woolsack Project is part of the Cultural Olympiad. The aim is to make a cushion, using British wool, for every competitor in the London Olympics and Paralympics.

Everyone, from anywhere in the world, is invited to make a cushion. The cushions can be knit, crochet, weaving, embroidery or any other craft but the wool must be from British sheep. The cushions will be stuffed with British wool which has been donated to the project.

You can find much more information about the project, and how the cushions will be collected and distributed, on the Woolsack site.

We have designed four illusion cushions for the project, each with a British national emblem.
The patterns for these illusion cushions can be downloaded below. They will be available until 31 May 2012, which is the (extended) closing date for the knitting part of the Woolsack project. The patterns can be freely shared by people involved in the Woolsack project. Anyone else may use them for personal use but they must not be shared, published or distributed, in any way, without the permission of the designers.
