NEFERTITI

This illusion is designed to be viewed from the side.

 

The illusion is based on a a 3300-year-old painted limestone bust of Nefertiti, the wife of Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten.  It was discovered in Amarna, Egypt, in 1912, and is now housed in the Neues Museum, Berlin.
